¿Qué es este diario?

A pregnancy journal is a week-by-week record of your journey through pregnancy, combining health tracking with personal reflection. You log physical measurements like weight and belly circumference, monitor symptoms such as nausea and sleep quality, and write about your experiences, cravings, and the emotional landscape of growing a new life. It is both a health tool and a keepsake — a record you may cherish for years to come.

This journal is for expecting parents who want to stay on top of their health while also capturing the deeply personal experience of pregnancy. Whether this is your first pregnancy or your third, every journey is unique. It is especially useful for those who want organized records to share with their prenatal care provider, as well as for anyone who finds comfort and clarity in writing during a time of profound change.

Pregnancy is a 40-week transformation that unfolds gradually, and without a journal, many details fade from memory surprisingly quickly. By recording your symptoms, you create a useful reference for medical appointments and can spot trends that deserve attention. By writing letters to your baby and reflecting on your feelings, you process the emotional complexity of this experience and create something beautiful to look back on — or even share with your child someday. Your pregnancy journal honors both the practical and the profound aspects of bringing new life into the world.

Reflexión del embarazo
Week 24 — viability week. There is something both reassuring and awe-inspiring about reaching this milestone. I can feel the baby moving more and more each day, especially in the evenings when I sit down to relax. Today I counted 18 distinct movements during my kick-count session, which puts my mind at ease. Did a 25-minute prenatal yoga class this morning and it felt wonderful for my lower back.
Antojos y aversiones
Still craving citrus fruits — went through three clementines today. The aversion to coffee continues, which is probably for the best. Wanted pickles with lunch, which made my partner laugh. No interest in chocolate this week, which is unusual for me.
Síntomas y cambios
Lower back pain is becoming more noticeable, especially after standing for long periods. Sleeping is getting harder — I wake up every time I need to change position, which is about four times a night. Mild heartburn after dinner. Skin on my belly is starting to feel tight and itchy — using more moisturizer. Round ligament pain when I sneeze or stand up too quickly.
Carta al bebé
Dear little one, this week you are the size of an ear of corn, and I can feel you doing somersaults in there. Your dad felt you kick for the first time last Tuesday and the look on his face was priceless. We are getting your room ready — the walls are painted a soft sage green and the crib arrives next week. I cannot wait to meet you, but I am also trying to enjoy every moment of carrying you. You are already so loved.

Vitaminas tomadas

Tomaste tus vitaminas prenatales hoy? Anota las que omitiste

Cita prenatal

Alguna visita prenatal o ecografia hoy?

Log symptoms by week, not just by day. Pregnancy symptoms shift dramatically between trimesters, and weekly tracking reveals your personal pattern of what comes and goes
Record fetal movement counts starting from week 28 — a daily kick count session (count to 10 movements, note how long it took) is recommended by most OB-GYNs as an early warning system
Track your blood pressure readings at home between appointments. Sudden rises after week 20 can signal preeclampsia and should be reported to your provider immediately
Write your emotional state alongside physical symptoms. Hormonal shifts cause mood changes that are real and valid — documenting them helps you communicate better with your support system
Note questions for your next prenatal visit as they arise during the week. Pregnancy brain is real, and having a written list ensures nothing important is forgotten at appointments

Cuando y con que frecuencia escribir

Write a brief daily entry covering symptoms, mood, and any notable changes. Do kick counts daily starting week 28, ideally at the same time each day when the baby is typically active. Record weight and blood pressure at each prenatal appointment. Weekly, take a moment to write about your emotional experience — these entries become a treasured record. Each trimester, review your full journal to see how far you have come and share relevant patterns with your healthcare provider.
